At all times we conduct our work with the privacy of individuals in mind. We conduct research either on behalf of our clients or for projects initiated by Compass Research.
Where we free find participants to take part in our research, we use a third party to recruit people to take part in the research. Compass Research acts as the controller of this data and we process your data under the lawful basis of a contract or consent as appropriate. Your personal data will only be used for research purposes, which may include profiling however your data in this scenario is anonymised. Any data shared outside of the project managers is anonymised so you cannot be identified.
Where we conduct research using our client’s data, Compass Research is acting as a data processor on our client’s behalf. We will only use this data to complete the task commissioned by our client and it will not use it for any other purposes. We sometimes inform our client as to who has been contacted to take part in the research, but not whether you actively took part.
Occasionally our clients may ask for any additional personal data we gather during the research to be passed back to them, this would only be undertaken if you give explicit consent for this to take place, in accordance to both the GDPR regulations and the Market Research Society Code of Conduct.
We will hold your data for up to 6 months from the end of the research project. If you have been asked and agreed to taking part in further research your data will held for up to one year.
As in accordance to the Market Research Society we do not provide any personal data to our clients as to who has taken part our research, unless you have provided explicit consent to do so.
