Compass Research worked with British Gas to develop a suitable central heating maintenance proposition that would appeal to the private landlord market. Compass involved a number of landlords and letting agents in the research (segmented by the number of properties they owned/managed); firstly conducting tele depths to explore individual experiences and needs, then bringing them together into group discussions to brainstorm and develop the ideal landlord support package.
The research explored; proposition development and assisted British Gas in identifying the level of investment and resource allocation required to properly support market penetration.
Compass's research into the Landlord market resulted in the launch of a number of British Gas Landlord Packages: Essentials, Essentials Plus, Landlord Pro and Build Your Own version, each targeting a different segment of the landlord population.
